First blog!

Yah! first blog before the start of the summer! Soooo first time on the blog, looks like I'll be doing all the blogging, Mike doesn't seem as excited as I am about this.

Our reasoning behind creating this blog is this: we wanted to do a summer long climbing trip across to the west to all the places we've ever wanted to go to, and creating this blog is to allow people to keep in touch with us while were on the road and also maybe to inspire other people to get out there and do their own dream trips also.

As of now, the plan is to leave Texas sometime around May 21st, climb through Arizona, part of Nevada, all over California, through Oregon and Washington, Vancouver, and if time allows head back to Texas through Wyoming and Colorado, creating one big loop. We'll visit friends and family along the way and hopefully make some new friends! Sadly we'll miss climbing in Utah, Idaho, and Montana.

The funniest part about the trip is we'll be living out of Mike's 2000 Toyota Camry.

We'll try and post pictures and info about the all the trip planning phases that go into preparing for a trip this long.
